Key Assistant Costume Designer 2015-2026
Anne Kenney spent over a decade as the Key Assistant Costume Designer for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Late Show with Stephen Colbert, taped before a live audience in the historic Ed Sullivan Theater. As a trusted co-pilot of the costume department, her daily responsibilities ranged from the aggressively banal to the slyly preposterous. Anchored in collaboration and creative versatility, Anne built an agile production pipeline to manage the costume needs of the show—dressing the host and the house band while concurrently providing for a never-ending swirl of live-to-tape comedy segments, cold opens, and three independent field units. Operating under the tightest deadlines in television, she nurtured a complex creative ecosystem while upholding the logistical framework necessary for the late night variety format.
